Kuaotunu Bay Lodge offers luxury boutique accommodation, take in the view from the minute you step through the door.

Choose from three beautifully appointed rooms, including two rooms with Super King beds and ensuite bathrooms, and one room featuring a Californian King bed that can be configured as two King Singles, with a private bathroom. All rooms open onto a private deck where you can relax and enjoy spectacular sea views.

Studio accommodation boasts privacy with a private entrance, private deck with seaviews. The Studio has a queen bed and is self catering. Breakfast is included.

Legend of the Sand Dollar

A fun legend is the mythological legend that the sand dollars represents the coins that were lost by mermaids.

Another one is that they are coins from the people of the mythological city Atlantis.

Because of its unique life cycle, some people believe sand dollar symbolize rebirth, renewal and transformation.

What a beautiful place. We had a room with a view at the sea. Amazing! Kris and Mat are wonderful hosts. Anfangs Februar haben wir ein paar Nächte in der Kuaotunu Bay Lodge verbracht. Die Lodge ist ruhig gelegen und der Ausblick aufs Meer ins sensationell. Somit also sehr gut geeignet zum Ausspannen und neue Energie zu tanken für die kommenden Abenteuer. Kris und Mat gaben uns das Gefühl, dass wir Teil der Familie waren. Das Frühstück war super und als es während unseres Aufenthalts einmal am Abend Lamm vom Grill gab, wollten wir fast nicht mehr weg.

Die Lage mit Blick auf den Strand und das Meer ist einmalig. Das Haus ist sehr schön, der Garten ist ein Traum. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und gemütlich mit eigener kleiner Terrasse mit Meerblick.

Our stay at Kuaotunu Bay Lodge was truly a dream. From the very first moment, Kris and Mat made us feel incredibly welcome with such warmth and kindness. You can tell they truly care — they thought of all the little details and made us feel completely at home. We spent part of our honeymoon in this beautiful place, and it’s something we will never forget. The house is stunning, the surroundings are amazing to explore, and every moment here felt special. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, and enjoying it with sea views made it even more magical.
